What's your Giving Strategy for 2024?
2024 is here! It's never too early to make that first gift of the year to support clean water and our health. We have our work cut out for us as we take on new (and old) challenges. Since our fundraising team puts some serious effort into educating our members and donors (plus folks who offer expert advice on charitable donations) about what we call “smarter giving,” we’d like to offer these summary of SMARTER tips we’ve shared over the past year to help guide or inspire your 2024 Giving Strategy.
SUSTAIN your support. Make a monthly gift or join our new change-makers for clean water program, which allows you to donate the change from your purchases over the course of the year.
MULTIPLY your impact. Many employers will match donations you make to Clean Water Fund. (Note: most will not match donations to Clean Water Action). Contact us if we can assist you in processing a gift match from your employer or if you’re a business interested in supporting Clean Water Fund, CWF@cleanwater.org
ANY and all gift amounts and forms of donation (just about any) are welcome. We appreciate your financial support whatever form it may take. “A” also stands for APPRECIATION. Thank you for all that you do to help protect clean water.
REMEMBER that there are some great giving options that can help you conserve your cash, provide tax benefits to you as a donor, and allow you give more generously at the same time. For example: gifts of stock, and donations from your IRA (to Clean Water Fund only). Clean Water Fund can also accept cryptocurrency gifts. While you’re at it, why not plan a gift by will and/or designate Clean Water Fund as a beneficiary on your investment, life insurance, or retirement account(s)?
TODAY is the best time to make or initiate your gift. Yes, you could wait until December 31 to make your final 2023 gift, but why not do it now?
EXPAND our circle of support by sharing information about Clean Water Action and Clean Water Fund with friends and family, or by Giving the Gift of Clean Water this holiday season.
